Really Good Song Mashups

Mashups are one of my favorite musical genres. A mashup is the modern version of artistically blending parts of two or more popular songs, usually from two different musical eras. These days, anyone with a computer and a moderately sophisticated sound editing program can do it. Here is a list of my favorite song mashups:

• Spending One Of Those Nights With Kelly, by Aggro1. A clever and well-done blend of Kelly Clarkston's "Since You've Been Gone" and The Eagle's "One Of Those Nights". This is one of my favorites.


• Frontin' on the Root Down, by I-Train.

My main source for mashups is Mashuptown.com, however I was first introduced to the concept of "mashups" on Adam Curry's podcast, The Daily Source Code, which I've listen to since the summer of 2005.
